Our impact

What a stable
home makes
possible.

A place to feel settled. More choice in everyday life. A connection to the people and places nearby. These are the things that give our work its purpose.

As Sahan expands into supported living housing, our longstanding community work remains the foundation. Here, we explain the difference we aim to make—and the limits of what we can claim.

Community roots.
Established 2006.

Sahan Society Centre is an established UK charity. Our community programmes help people build connections, access support and settle into their local community. Our expansion into supported living brings that same focus on belonging to the home.

The difference
we aim to make.

Impact is personal. A meaningful change for one person may look very different for another. These are our areas of focus, not a statement of measured or guaranteed outcomes.

01 /

A settled place
to call home.

Stable housing gives people a base for everyday life. Our role is to provide and manage the home, with a clear point of contact for housing matters.

What matters: feeling at home and knowing who to speak to about the property.

02 /

Room for everyday
independence.

Having a home should go hand in hand with choice. Sahan’s housing role sits alongside the care delivered by a separate registered provider, rather than replacing it.

What matters: a home that supports the person’s everyday life, with housing and care responsibilities understood.

03 /

Connection beyond
the front door.

Belonging extends beyond the home. Our community programmes help people build relationships, find support and become more connected to their local area.

What matters: opportunities to meet people, access support and take part in community life.

Clear about our work.
Careful about our claims.

Our history in the community is not a substitute for evidence about supported living.

Established in 2006 describes Sahan as an organisation. It should not be read as a claim that we have provided supported living housing since that date.

Our story and purpose

Aims are not reported results

This page describes what we work towards. It does not present verified outcome figures, occupancy data or resident case studies.

Housing and care are distinct

Sahan provides and manages the housing. A separate registered care provider delivers the care. Clinical or care outcomes should not be attributed to Sahan’s housing work alone.

Evidence for your decision

If you are considering a referral or partnership, ask us what current information is available for your enquiry. We can discuss your evidence requirements and clarify what we can share.

Can I request impact information or reports?

Yes. Contact our team and tell us what you need, whether that is information about community work, housing or a potential partnership. We can confirm what evidence or reporting is currently available; this page does not offer a published impact report.

Ask about impact information
How does community work relate to supported living?

Both reflect the importance of stability and belonging. Community programmes help people build connections and access support; supported living housing provides a home alongside care from a separate registered provider. They are related areas of work, not the same service.

Ask us about current programmes and whether they may be relevant to the person you are supporting.

What should we discuss before making a referral?

Start with the person’s housing needs, preferred location and care arrangements. Ask about current availability, suitability, who manages each responsibility and what information is available to support your decision.

Our aims on this page are not a guarantee that a particular home will be suitable.
