What we do

A place to live.
A life to build.

Our work brings together supported living housing and longstanding community programmes. We manage the home, work alongside separate registered care providers, and help people connect with the community around them.

A stable home provides a foundation for everyday life. Our responsibility is the housing.

Sahan provides and manages supported living homes. For residents, families and professionals, that means a clear organisation to speak to about the home, separate from the provider responsible for care.

Providing a home

We discuss the person’s housing needs, preferred area and whether a suitable home is available.

Managing the housing

Sahan is the point of contact for matters relating to the home and its management.

Working with partners

We work alongside care providers and referring professionals so housing arrangements are understood by everyone involved.

Explore supported living

Having a home and receiving care are connected, but they are not the same service.

Supported living brings housing and care arrangements together around the individual. We work alongside separate registered care providers, keeping responsibility for the home distinct from responsibility for the person’s care.

Sahan manages the home

We provide and manage the housing and discuss housing arrangements with the person, their family and the professionals involved.

A separate provider delivers care

The registered care provider is responsible for delivering care. Questions about care needs and day-to-day care arrangements belong with that provider.

Sahan does not deliver the regulated care provided by the separate registered care provider. A housing enquiry should not be taken as confirmation of a care arrangement.

Working with Sahan

A familiar face. Somewhere to turn. A connection to life beyond the front door.

Established in 2006, Sahan’s roots are in community work. Our longstanding programmes help people build connections, access support and settle into their local community. As we expand into supported living housing, that work remains part of who we are.

Building connections

Helping people develop relationships and feel more connected to the community around them.

Accessing support

Helping people find a way forward when they need support with community life or mental health needs.

To find out about current programmes, who they are for and how to take part, speak to our team. We can explain what is available and discuss your enquiry.

Ask about community programmes

A few important distinctions.

Practical answers before you get in touch.

Does Sahan provide both housing and care?

No. Sahan provides and manages the supported living housing. A separate registered care provider delivers the care. We work alongside that provider while keeping the two responsibilities distinct.

Can a family contact Sahan directly?

Yes. You can contact our team to ask about supported living for someone you care about. An initial conversation can help clarify housing needs and the next steps; it does not confirm a placement or a care arrangement.

How do I check locations and housing availability?

Tell us the area you are considering and the person’s housing needs. Our team can confirm current locations and availability, and discuss whether we may be able to help. Visit Supported Living for more about making a referral.

How can a care provider or property partner get involved?

We welcome conversations about care and housing partnerships. Explore our Partnerships page, then contact us to discuss your organisation, property or proposed working arrangement.

Let’s talk about what’s needed.
