Partnerships

Different roles.
A shared focus
on home.

Good supported living brings the right people together. We work with registered care providers, housing partners and commissioners to explore homes that meet people’s needs—with clear responsibilities from the start.

How we can
work together.

Sahan is a UK charity established in 2006. As we expand into supported living housing, we welcome conversations with organisations that share a focus on stable homes, independence and community connection.

01 /

Registered care providers

You deliver the care. We manage the home. Let’s discuss how those separate responsibilities can work together around the adults you support.

Explore a care partnership

Useful for our first conversation

  • The areas you work in and the people you support
  • Your registration and the services you provide
  • Housing requirements and likely timescales
  • How our teams would communicate and coordinate
02 /

Landlords & property partners

Have a property you would like to discuss for supported living? We can explore its potential, starting with the home itself and the needs it might meet.

Discuss a property

Useful for our first conversation

  • The location, property type and number of bedrooms
  • Layout, accessibility and current condition
  • Ownership, availability and proposed arrangements
  • Access to transport, amenities and community life
03 /

Commissioners & local authorities

Talk to us about local housing needs for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We can discuss the area, suitability and how housing would sit alongside separately arranged care.

Discuss local housing needs

Useful for our first conversation

  • The locality and housing needs you are exploring
  • Accessibility requirements and anticipated timescales
  • The intended care arrangements

Clear roles.
Better coordination.

Housing and care are distinct. Understanding who is responsible for each helps residents, families and professionals know where to turn.

Housing / Sahan Society Centre

We look after the home.

Sahan provides and manages supported living housing. We are the point of contact for the housing side of the arrangement and work alongside the care provider to coordinate housing matters.

Care / Separate registered provider

They deliver the care.

A separate registered care provider is responsible for delivering the person’s care. Care planning, care delivery and the provider’s staff remain that provider’s responsibility.

Sahan does not deliver the regulated care provided by the separate registered care provider. Partnership discussions should establish responsibilities, communication routes and how concerns will be handled before arrangements are agreed.

From a conversation
to a clear arrangement.

An initial enquiry is a chance to explore fit—not a commitment. Any next steps depend on suitability, availability and agreement between the parties involved.

01

Tell us what you have in mind

Introduce your organisation, the location and the housing need or property opportunity you would like to explore.

02

Explore the practical details

Discuss suitability, the information needed, proposed responsibilities and any questions that must be resolved.

03

Agree the way forward

If there is a fit, agree the arrangements, points of contact and next steps before moving ahead.

Before you
get in touch.

Can we discuss an early-stage idea?

Yes. You do not need a fully developed proposal to start a conversation. Tell us what you are exploring, where it would be based and any known requirements or timescales.

Which areas are you considering?

Please contact us to confirm our current locations and whether we can consider your proposed area. We do not assume that every location or property will be suitable.

Does a property enquiry mean Sahan will take it on?

No. An initial discussion is exploratory. Suitability, practical requirements and any proposed terms would need to be considered and agreed before a commitment is made.

Should I send information about an individual?

For a partnership enquiry, start with your organisation and a general description of the need. Please do not send identifiable health or care records in an initial message. If you are seeking housing for a specific person, start a referral enquiry and ask how to share information appropriately.
